Thank you everyone for your beautiful, caring messages. It truly helps ease the pain.

Sandysmom: I am so sorry for your loss! My heart aches for you! I believe Eric and Sandy had something similar as Eric's spine was protruding in recent weeks. They are together and sharing a wild romp in the green grass.

I wanted to share with all of you something I did after we lost Eric. I always meant to do this for all the dogs but never got around to it, so I don't have one for Eric. But I bought something called Sculptey clay at AC Moore (a craft store) and I made pawprints of the dogs. You can mold and shape the clay however you want, then press your dog's paw into it, and bake it. I made these ornaments for Emma, Maggie and Dino. Hope you can see them in these photos. The clay comes in colors and can be painted after baking.

Thank you again for reaching out at this most difficult time.

Cynthia

our symapthy as well - :crybaby: made me cry just reading about it. we just lost Scruffy this past August.
That lost feelng over whelmed me again. But remember your bond- Eric was loved much and just think of all the wonderfull memmories you and he had.You were both fortunate to have found each other.
The only way that made our loss a bit easier..was to get another dog that needed love as well. not as a replacement -for that can never be.
But as a new joy that will help to mend your broken heart..and I feel my Scruffy is helping her along with her training -I swear. Plus I have lost 3 others besides Scruffy..prayers that you find a new puppy to love. And the love that you have for Eric is not lost nor finished Its forever present.

Cynthia, even in your sorrow you've given us such a great idea for a memento for our Cairns! The ones you did are terrific and I appreciate the idea and will definitely be doing that. Just remember, Eric is so happy and I'll bet he's yelling down to you, "I can see you now Mom, I can see!" Hang in there my friend!

I am sorry for your loss, Eric was a beautiful Cairn. In his picture his eyes however blind they may have been had an intense kindness in them. Just remember we all feel your loss with you. God bless.

My sincerest condolences on your loss.

It is heartwrenching to lose these spirited little Cairn's.

Cathy
