Even after the immediate hurt of losing our pups goes away, the memories still come, don't they? Wherever Sandy is, I hope he had a good Halloween and they hand out dog treats there. If you were thinking about him, he was probably thinking about you.
The day you wrote your memory -- Oct. 30 -- is my Allie's 10th birthday.

Yes, I think about him everyday. This site has been wonderful in keeping his memory alive. All of the cairns look just like my Sandy. Someday I hope to get another one, but I am not ready for another one just yet. Thank you for responding and Happy Belated Birthday to Allie.

I'm sitting here crying reading your post. This is my 4th Christmas without my Missy and yes the celebration goes on but my heart is not into it like it was before. I'm sure Missy and Sandy had a great Christmas and are patientally waiting when we can reunite again. I know and believe one day we will be together with them again.
I know how hard it is. I'm still not over the loss of my girl and she passed Nov/04
She was just one special little lady just like your Sandy.
HAPPY NEW YEAR MISSY & SANDY and all your bridge friends.

Ty for you lovely reaction.
It's always hard to say goodbye to a loved one.
Most people say a dog is just a pet.
For us are these dog's a part of the family.
it's good to know Rocky has some good friends in the afterlife

I still miss you every day and Daddy misses you too
I hope you are happy where ever you are
And I hope someday I will see you again
Until then I see you everywhere I go
but I can't touch you and pet you and kiss you
You were my best friend in the world
But if you are happy then I can wait to see you again.
Love,
Mommy

I know today has been tough on you and your family.
I hope that you spent today remembering all the great times you had with Sandy and know that many of us out here know exactly how you are feeling. It has been almost 6 months since I lost Mac and a day never goes by without thinking of him.
My thought and prayers are offered for you on this day.

My deepest sympathys.. The hurt never goes away, or are love or memorys of them as well...
My first Cairn terrier was Toto, he was 12years old when he had kidney failure, and it was one week just after 911 we had to put him down. It was a hard time for all of us,and my husband and i stay with him up to the very end. We still had Rocky are other cairn terrier, and he was soo sad for along time. We dint get another dog ,just untill this year , we bought are four year old son peanut are puppy we have now. He looks soo much like my Toto,,and he wanted to call him toto,,but my older son who was so attached to toto wouldnt let him ,,said it hurt to much to have to call him that name and not think of are little darlying boy we had..So his name is Peanut, but i do slip and call him toto somtimes ,cause he looks so much like him. sorry i think i'm going to start to cry now..
big hugs,
pammy and peanut
