I would welcome responses from people here. I know that when I have lost dogs in the past, the people around me (not "dog people") were sometimes confused by my grief, and I think it helps to be among a group -- even on-line -- that understands what a great loss it is to lose a beloved dog.

I vote for enabling responses to memoriams. Many of us have come to know the lives of some of the Cairns on this site. I, for one would like to respond to a memorial post by offering my compassion & sympathy for the loss.

i vote that other should be able to comfort you, i know it helps me. Maybe not everyone feels that way. But sharing there loss,or letting you know they care, and as we talk about are babys, they get to know them as well, and may feel the pain as well. But i do respect on how others feel, so maybe they could say no comment, just prayers and we would respect that...

Thanks all for your participation. As suggested up-topic, a note was added some time ago to let posters know they may request their memorial be closed if they desire. Otherwise, the default was left the same as with other topics - open for replies.
I'm also moving this topic to Forum Support which is where I should have posted it in the first place.
