Change is coming.

I've been lazy about keeping the forum software up-to-date, but it's time to upgrade to the latest release. There have been substantial improvements in the forum software over the last year or two and you will notice some changes, but for the most part things will still work pretty much as they have in the past.

I don't know exactly when I'll perform the upgrade as it depends on my work/life schedule. Most likely within the next two weeks. The forum will be set to 'maintenance mode' during the upgrade but you may experience dire-sounding error messages during the brief period while the files are being uploaded and the database is being modified. Down-time may be as little as couple hours to as long as a few days. I really hope it will be just a couple of hours. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I've scheduled the forum upgrade for this weekend. I will probably shut the forum down Friday after work (anytime after 5:00 PM Pacific time). It's possible the forum may be back online Saturday morning, but if I have troubles it may take an extra day or two.
