I told her to get it updated, as she is going to have to start pulling her weight around here, which by the way is down to 15.3 lbs from 18.0.

Just came from the vet for her annual check up and the current price for Comfortis flea med is now $100.00 for a six month supply. That is $40.00 more than last year. Gasoline has not even gone up that much percentage wise in one year. Holey Moley....66% increase.

At least she is teeth clean and ears clear in the prime of her 7 year old life and ready to rock and roll. She was jumping on the vet for treats, pretty funny.

Sassy is doing better at her weight loss than I. Good for her. I know isn't it ridiculous? I have noticed! It's all over. Even when they keep the price of doggie items steady they lessen the ingredients ... come on .... like we consumers won't notice. I think even the dogs notice when you hand them their favorite treat and it's half the size it used to be. :confused1: "What is this? This won't even sweeten my sweet tooth! Can I have two?" Yup, I think they all better be updating their resumes. I think it would be cheaper to raise Dempsy's chicken treats. Dempsy likes that idea.

Actually I feel bad about it. The humane societys around here are over flowing with dogs. They had a special on TV the other night on how much your pet acutally cost you. I did not watch - I don't want to know - ignorance is bliss. I am glad Sassy's mom takes such good care of her.

Maybe shop on line for meds. Comfortis cheaper at Dr Foster Smith - about $84.00

Advantix11 kills fleas ticks and lice for around $50.00. We have ticks round here so that's what I use.

Did use Frontline but it didn't work too well on my dogs.

No matter what prices always seem to be on the rise alas. :(

Surely Sassy could find a job, what with summer coming and all. Perhaps she'd do well in the tourist industry . . . definitely NOT waiting tables, though. One of your nearby state parks should have an opening for Rabbit Patrol or Squirrel Watcher. :)
