Jock seems to be getting these crusty lumps on each side of his bottom lip. I dont know if its just food getting attached to his hairy chin or if there is something going on. I am taking him to his vet for his yearly check up on the 16th so for sure she can have a look then. However, trying to pull these crusties off is not well received... I need all my ten fingers! :cry:

that happened to cubby when he got older, his lower lips and the corners of his eyes - it turned out he had lupus, whereby the body attacks its own mucus membranes - he absolutely HATED to be cleaned up - i'm lucky to have all my fingers, it was quite a battle

Well after googling I am pretty sure Jock has Lip Fold Dermatitis. Even the pictures I see are identical. It looks like treating it with Penaten cream will do the trick. I have also used this cream on my horses lower leg when in wet weather she developed scrathes, a bacteria born dermatitis.
