There is a test at Columbus All Breed April 16 and 17.
The Buckeye Doxie club will be in Dayton mid May

I see this post was written on St. Paddy's day.

Good luck to the Ohio earthdoggers!

An Irish earthdog blessing:

(Intro)May your earthdog go into the tunnel (not just pee on the opening)
(Jr. Tunnel)May he get to the rats quickly,
and work the required time.
(Sr tunnel) May he come when called,
and if he doesn't at least come out within 5 minutes (so YOUR dog isn't the one
responsible for the entire den area being dug up!).
(Master Den) May he forget his heeling obedience training and go hunt
and indicate the rats that are within a whisker of his nose at the correct den opening.
(Exhibitor)May you get dirty and muddy, not get indigestion from the potluck
and win the raffle.

Update of the Ohio Earthdoggers:)

The test at Columbus All Breed was a big success! We did go back and forth with a little rain and sun, had a little water that needed to be drained fron the IQ den, but it was still good. We had a great turnout (there was even one other Cairn there). There were lots of Q's and several titles. The volunteers we had were really great, lots of help and really good food. We had members of the club come to watch and to help- that didn't have an earthdog breed! They wanted to see what it was all about, and had a great time watching us "do our thing". We are already talking about "the next one"
Toby did get a leg in Senior on Saturday. So he now has 2! great run too, i couldn't have been happier with him. Sunday, different dog came with me... He went sniffing around, but missed the entrance and kept follwing his nose. It was very windy and I'm sure scent was blowing everywhere, but who knows if he was confused, or just messing around. He has been known to do that:) There are a few more tests to enter this spring hopefully we get that 3rd leg in one of them.

Thanks for the report. Kona and I go this weekend for our first 2011 test. Congrats on your Senior leg!
