When to give him full reign of his crate?

When I first got him he was peeing in a corner of the crate and then lounging in the other half so I built a wall in the middle of the crate so he would stop that behavior. He hasn't had an accident in the crate ever since. I built the wall in the middle by cutting up an Ikea coffee table and nailing it into the crate so experimenting with removing it and whatnot would really be a pain. My question is: When is it a good time to give him full control of his crate back? Is he still too young?
Thanks!

I've gone to some great lengths to accommodate my cairn terrier... Rearranged furniture... changed the carpets, etc., etc. But I draw the line when it comes to cutting up my furniture!!! I'm not sure if I should admire you for your devotion to Bowser... or scratch my head in disbelief!

We (pindrop & myself) did the same with Layla at the beginning, by dividing the crate in half. She has never had an accident in the crate. She also is over 3 months, but we plan on continuing the divider until she gets a bit bigger.

so I actually decided to give him the whole crate and took down the wall. he's been a champ ever since. No accidents. He's also bell trained so he refuses to go potty unless he rings that bell. it's been great -- he no longer stretches like theres no tomorrow when I take him out of the crate
