Hi,
I am new to the forum, so hello to everyone.
My wife and I recently lost our (beloved) first Cairn, Lilly (she was 16 1/2) - she lived a long, happy life. In spring, we will be ready for a new puppy.
We live in Pittsburgh, PA and we are looking for a reputable breeder (relatively) close to home. We want a dark (red, gray or black) brindle. We have been searching the Internet, but it is difficult to tell who is reputable or not.
Dose anyone have any first hand experience with any breeds close to us? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Tony

Hi welcome to the forum, Sorry to hear of your loss of your beloved Lilly. So wonderful to have her for 16 years. I also live in PA in Beaver county. Found my breeder in Butler. It was the first time we bought from a breeder but our Nena is great, very healthy and a calm cairn.
We are not suppose to give the names of breeders, but if you go to my profile send me a email I will give you her information.

Hi Tony - welcome to the Forum. I'm sorry to hear of your Lilly's passing. I know how difficult it can be. It's wonderful that you are looking for a furbaby to fill your home with love and laughter. I am in a similar position - we lost our Westie, Molly on July 2nd of this year after a lengthly illness and are awaiting the arrival of our new puppy. We will be picking her/him (undecided as of yet) up in less than three weeks (Yippee!!) As everyone on here can tell you, I've been sharing the pictures of the new puppies since they were 10 days old.
I hope you will continue to come back to the forum for friendly chatter and advice on your new puppy. These are wonderful people who are very willing to share their experiences first hand. Good luck with your hunt and joy to your upcoming new family member.
