Got fixed today along with his last set of puppy shots, rabies, nails and Frontlined. He's totally not himself. Just want's to lay down and not do anything. I'll be excited when he gets back to being him!

When Gus was fixed the hardest part was keeping him relatively quiet for ten days - the vet said no off leash or rough play. And Gus was definitely ready for rough play before ten days were up! I'm sure Max will be back to "normal" tomorrow or the next day.

He's feeling much better this morning, still not back to quite himself but much better. Even trying to chase the cat. I was getting a bit worried last night when my hubby said he hadn't drank anything and was planning on coming home and having him drink through a sarynge if he wouldn't use the water bowl. Apparently hubby got him to drink a bit last night and he drank quite a bit this morning. Still quiet and more mellow then usual but I'm glad to see his "normal" self returning. I missed my "Max Max". And he looked so darned pitiful just laying there on a blanket on the couch. He can get his stitches out in 7-10 days according to the vet and he's done with everything for the year.

A little trick that I do if they arent drinking enough for one reason or another. I put a very small amount of ground meat in the bottom of the water bowl and stir it around. I dont put lots of water in at a time because they will drink the bowl dry!It works every time.
