This weekend there was earth dog trials at a local dog club. I took Angel we've had never practiced or anything. Angel had never been in a tunnel so I wasn't expecting her to really go in it. We took the IQ both saturday and sunday. She did smell the scent line for a while she went straight to the tunnel both times but wouldn't go in. So I guess we will have to practice. I think the next trial is in March or June. There was 2 other cairns there were a bunch of westies and border terriers. Angel seemed to have a good time and most of the people there were nice. I got sunburn. lol I am not sure how I got my face sunburned in November...

here's some photos from today...
{the last photo was Angel *thinking about going into the tunnel* its not a very good photo dh had to stay a while back other wise angel would of been distracted if he got close}

Good for you and Angel. Looked like a beautiful day for a test. Don't worry about a slow start. It can take some dogs a while to work out all the elements, including venturing down that big, dark hole.

It's a great thing to try your Cairn's in differrent events. It seems to make them bond even more. Hope you had fun and don't get discoraged.some dogs are late bloomers but when they get it you will be smileing ear to ear. Keep up the good work.

Rich
