Brad,
I'm so very sorry for your loss of sweet Barley. It really hits us all hard, we all share in the joys and the sorrows in each of our Cairns. Losing my little girl, also being a black brindle, she looked so much like Barley. I sit here and cry while I'm thinking of them both.
Godspeed Barley, you earned your "golden" wings

My sincere condolences to you & your family.

Thanks for so many kind words and thoughts. We knew the day would come eventually. I guess we didn't really expect it coming so fast, so hard, and from out of left field. Barley taught us so much and I reckon she had a couple more things to teach us, bless her scrappy little heart.

I am so sorry Brad at the passing of your little girl.... it is like a piece of you goes with them. We all know that these wonderful furry creatures are with us for only a very short time, but it is always a painful and sad journey for us when they leave. May your memories of her keep a light burning in your heart.

oh my....just checked into the forum, and saw this, which brought tears to my eyes. I've heard about your cairns so often, and loved each story. My heart goes out to you over the loss of this lovely dear little dog. I've said it before -- God should have made cairns to last a hundred years...
